I used to love this podcast but it’s 2026 and they’re still republishing 2014 content instead of doing episodes about the 2024 rules. But they’re happy to publish brand new shows about an RPG nobody has heard of, or Pathfinder.
I love the podcast and I think that ash is the best! I now know how to play pf2 and optimize!
Superb TTRPG (D&D and friends) podcast focused on comparing and contrasting rules across systems, exploring updates, and trialing lesser known TTRPG systems. The three hosts capture the banter and chemistry of a strong live play podcast while delivering information that can help make you a better DM or GM.

The show centers on deep-dives into tabletop role-playing games, with a strong emphasis on mechanics, system design, and practical gameplay insights for D&D, Pathfinder, and related games. Conversations blend technical analysis with witty banter as hosts compare editions, explain rules interactions, and share build strategies, campaign tips, and GMing techniques. A notable throughline is the focus on optimization, cohesion between player and GM perspectives, and mapping game systems to real-world play, making it a valuable resource for players, DMs, and those curious about how game design shapes tabletop experiences. The format tends to feature multi-episode threads (character builds, subsystem explorations, and cross-system comparisons) an... more
