A lot has been going on behind the scenes, and we just wanted to give everybody a quick update about the show. We will continue to keep everyone informed here and on our respective social media platforms. Much love, The Rolled Standard. P.S. . Don't ... more
As our short "spy thriller" comes to a close, the crew (unfortunately sans Chris) sit down to absolutely run Walt's name through the dirt for railroading them through the garbage-bot's backstory. In all seriousness, we had a fun time goofing our way ... more
If you thought breaking into a police building and not finding a goddamn thing wasn't enough for the Garbage A-Team after everything else that's happened today, you've got another thing coming. With chaos behind them and confusion ahead, the boys go ... more
Super fun actual play podcast that explores a bunch of different independent TTRPG game systems, like CY_Borg. After a few sessions of a campaign they'll also do a review of the system. It took a few episodes for me to accept the amount of laughter that makes it into the final edits but eventually it grows on you.
The guys are enthusiastic and boisterous, but the in-jokes and boys’-club feel are off-putting. Listened to their arcs on Numenera and Vaesen; while they played Numenera true to the game, they went gonzo on Vaesen, with time travel and more combat than the game calls for — I’m glad they had fun, but it didn’t help me get a feel for the actual game.
This is by far my favorite podcast. Its fun and informative. And if you join their discord family, you feel like you havent been there for years on day one. Wonderful community to be apart of.
This is probably the best multi-system podcast I’ve heard - especially with their focus on smaller games like Mork Borg, starfinder and Lichoma.
The editing and sound mixing is awesome, they’re a funny bunch and tell really interesting stories ESPECIALLY considering they don’t do this full time.
If you want a witty, well-edited yet totally low-key Actual Play of some friends playing different TTRPG games. Look no further. But beware, a couple of episodes in and you will become part of family. You’ll laugh at the occasional silliness and widen your eyes as a new twist in the story partakes. You’ll know that left is law and be confused about who’s actually “the real Nate back here.”
Oh … And don’t sniff glue.
