  • Audio Levels

Enjoy the show but please even out the audio levels so I don’t have to crank up the volume to hear Seth and turn it back down for Jess.

  • Good content, horrible sound quality

My enjoyment of the podcast is greatly diminished because of the horrid sound quality. 345 episodes, and they still haven’t figured out how to make a decent recording or how to equalize sound levels. One co-host always sounds like he is broadcasting from the bottom of the ocean through a tin can with string.

[U] OMG- the sound quality got WORSE! If I turn up the volume enough to hear one guy, the other one blasts my eardrums. Literally painful to listen to because of the sound quality and volum... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

2026 Cardinals opponent preview: New York Giants with John Fennelly
Q: What are sort of the expectations for the Giants under the new regime in 2026?
The guest notes that with Harbaugh at the helm and a front office that's reshaped its approach, the Giants should become more disciplined and competitive, with a realistic ceiling around double-digit wins if health holds and chemistry builds well; the team could surprise by starting stronger early in the season before facing tougher opponents later.
2026 Cardinals opponent preview: Dallas Cowboys with Law Nation Sports
Q: What is the state of the NFC East and where do expectations fall for Dallas this year?
Law Nation explains that the division should be winnable with reinforcements on defense, and Dallas should contend for the top spot, though November schedule strength and divisional games will test them; the goal is a deep playoff run rather than just making the postseason.
2026 Cardinals opponent preview: Seattle Seahawks with Kole Musgrove
Q: What led to the decision to keep the ball rolling with the Shanahan tree and continuity on offense?
The hosts describe the rationale as maintaining offensive continuity with a system Sam Darnold is familiar with, hoping to preserve momentum and familiarity for the quarterback and surrounding players.
2026 Cardinals opponent preview: Kansas City Chiefs with Ed Easton Jr.
Q: How do they view Justin Fields as a backup, and why was he acquired?
Fields is viewed as a developmental, high-ceiling backup who could execute gadget plays and potentially step in if Mahomes is unavailable, with the plan being a one-year arrangement to maximize flexibility.
2026 Cardinals opponent preview: Kansas City Chiefs with Ed Easton Jr.
Q: What was the decision going from Matt Nagy to Eric Bienemy?
The move was driven by a need for accountability and a coaching style that demands fundamentals and discipline, with Bienemy known for getting the best out of players and motivating them through tough but effective practices.
