  • Stop yelling at me

Man, in this last episode, it just feels like the host is just degrading people for overreacting to preseason stuff.

“SHAME ON YOU if you think xyz…”

I’m sitting here like…dude I wasn’t thinking that AT ALL.

I think the host is talking to a small minority of people in his twitter mentions who are complaining, and he’s yelling at them to relax. In reality, I think most fans are pretty understanding of where we are at in the season.

Instead of focusing on all this weird population of trolls ... more

  • Was better when BB was on

Alex has always gone against the grain with his takes, but recently that perspective has made it a hard listen. I was listening to the Cardinals Squad episode, and he seemed almost annoyed to be on and the other hosts point of views. More Ben, less Alex and I would subscribe again.

  • Good stuff

One of the best locked on hosts I’ve listened too. And that’s over 6-7 shows of regular listening. Very good, honest and blunt style. He doesn’t sugar coat things and and doesn’t talk like he’s doing an ad the whole time like some hosts(on any podcast network) like to do. He reminds me of Jack Spirko a lot with his voice and style.

Hillsdale College, which sponsors this, Locked on Lions, and I’m guessing podcasts across the Locked On Network, is a small school in Michigan that functions as a propaganda machine for the far right. It has no credibility as an institution of higher learning, and is behind a lot of the toxicity in the discourse today. Don’t support any program taking money from these people. There are other Cardinals podcasts to check out. I suggest the PHNX Arizona Cardinals Podcast. (I actually like this show... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Arizona Cardinals Jacoby Brissett is an Absentee QB1: Does it Really Matter?
Q: Does it matter if Jacoby Brissett is QB1 for the Cardinals in 2026, or can Gardner Minshew and Carson Beck run the offense just fine?
The hosts believe Brissett could maximize Michael LaFleur's system in the short term, but they also acknowledge a viable path with Minshew or Beck depending on development, assurances for 2027, and how the offense is structured around a strong run game. The consensus is that Brissett isn't absolutely mandatory if the team can optimize the scheme and build around future quarterback options.
Arizona Cardinals Could Have a STEAL by Drafting Carson Beck
Q: Would Beck be a good immediate starter for the Cardinals, or is development key?
Overall view was that development behind a veteran like Jacoby Brissette could be beneficial, with a potential path to the starting role if he shows rapid growth and the offense gels; not likely week one but possible mid-season if circumstances align.
Arizona Cardinals Could Have a STEAL by Drafting Carson Beck
Q: What is the biggest hurdle Beck would face in an NFL transition?
The main challenge is read-and-react speed in the NFL with faster defenses, plus the need to sit and learn behind a starter to master the playbook before getting game reps.
Arizona Cardinals Could Have a STEAL by Drafting Carson Beck
Q: What stood out about Carson Beck's arm after the pre-draft process?
The guest noted that Beck's arm looked stronger at the scouting combine and Miami Pro Day, with time off helping him recover; the sense is that the arm regained velocity and accuracy especially on intermediate throws, which could be a positive indicator for NFL performance.
Chase Bisontis Could Change Arizona Cardinals Offensive Line IMMEDIATELY
Q: Do you think he could move to right guard right away, and what would it take for him to win a starting spot Week 1?
He has the versatility to slide to right guard and start if he proves ready in training camp and preseason; success would depend on beating a veteran at left guard and adjustments to NFL-level timing and technique, but the organization is building and could experiment to get him reps.
