As a fellow Michigan girlie I cannot tell you how excited I was to find this podcast!!! I just randomly picked it up with the Elizabeth I episode and I’m going back thru them all.
The millennial in me is very happy. Keep up the good work!
Wow. These podcasts hosts seem incapable of thinking outside their own time/ philosophy. Listen only if you want endless finger wagging.
Love the podcast, fyi for the most recent episode Scotts Gaelic evolved came from roughly around the time of Middle Irish roughly and both Irish and Scottish are mutually intelligible in some ways.
I’m so happy that Cate and Jen are at it again! They are wonderful to listen to since they are such good friends and I find myself laughing g out loud all the time. I love their passion for history. Having the two perspectives of Jen re-reading and Cate reading them for the first time is fun. The first season was so great and I look forward to more!!
I’m really enjoying the podcast so far, it’s fun to go back and revisit books I loved as a kid that also gave me a love of history. I’ve also been really pleasantly surprised at how detailed the hosts get about the time periods and I’m learning so much about different time periods. Definitely a deep dive and not just a quick one episode recap of each book without much detail (like so many other podcasts).
