Episode 225 - AI Must Start with Reality - AI Futurist, Steve Brown
Q: How should organizations approach the balance between AI and human work in writing or content creation?
Brown argues for a balanced approach where AI handles drafting or first passes, while humans refine, add nuance, and apply judgment, ensuring outputs are auditable and aligned with authentic human intent.
Episode 225 - AI Must Start with Reality - AI Futurist, Steve Brown
Q: What does it mean for AI to be a bubble, and is it real this time?
Dario Amodeo's warning about a coming AI tsunami is taken seriously, but the consensus among industry insiders is that while there are bubbles in some components (like overvalued hype around certain infrastructural assets), the overall trajectory toward AI-enabled efficiency and capability is real and ongoing.
Episode 237 - Multi-Workstream Cyber Incident Response; Dr. Steven Wright
Q: We're talking about cyber incidents, and a lot of times people think of that as just a technology problem, a technology event. I'd like for you to address that and tell us your thoughts on it, and then maybe talk a little bit about how it's also a business continuity event, and it's certainly also a legal event.
Steven explains that cyber incidents are multi-stream events spanning investigation, recovery, and communications, with significant legal and regulatory implications, and that preparation across disciplines is essential.
Episode 229 - Excellence, Purpose, Resilience and ... Coffee Beans? with Sean Vanslyke
Q: Just remind everybody who you are and talk about some of the exciting things you've got going on.
Sean introduces himself as a CEO and author of Change Me, Bless Them, and highlights the Friday feature as a core part of his work, connecting personal stories to resilience and crisis management.
Episode 235: How Resilient Are We.....Really? With Stuart Murray
Q: What are executives really asking when they say, how resilient are we really?
They're seeking to understand financial exposure, progress since last evaluation, and what leadership needs to move forward, framed in terms of tangible risk reduction and budget/resource justification.
