I thought I knew Prodigy’s story very well, since I read his autobiography. I suffer from the same disease, were born only a few days apart in NYC. I grew up in Queens, I didn’t know him personally. I just saw him around Jamaica ave plenty of times. I understand his experience the way only others growing up in that time with Sickle Cell Disease SS can. I’ve always been a fan of Mobb Deep and was sadden by Prodigy’s death. This podcast delves into this life and battle with sickle cell anemia so well. The writing is beautiful and the story that the hosts weave together is deeply fascinating.
