    Loved this story. Really enjoyed the reminiscing about the magazines! I remember when I was first married, 1980, I had moved from the state capital to a very small town without any family close by. I had started a new job too, so my magazines were my connection to homemaking and current events. I do remember the local newspaper used to print pictures of clothes patterns you could send away for too. I made a lot of my own clothes then, money was tight then.
