  • Finally Found a Dev Pod for All Levels

I love this podcast. I have been looking for a dev podcast that isn't just for beginners. I started in 2020 and am now ready to find a new mid-level position. These tips are great for growing in the field. Love that they are POC and their guests are diverse, as I can choose what fits my brain. I'm shocked that more people aren't listening but I guess I'll keep the gems for myself! Wish I could give back to you guys. I hope to help someone else in this way someday too.

  • Excellent podcast

I have been looking for a podcast for years regarding coding and nothing ever clicked. Once I heard these guys do tips a senior dev does I was hooked.

I don’t want to listen to some explain line by line how to code. I want to hear how developers solved problems and grew into new roles.

  • Actionable items, huge gems

I’ve been following Leon and Danny individually for a couple years. When they joined forces I probably screamed. They both provide their perspectives on huge talking points in tech, and almost always give you a list of actionable items to get that needle moving. Definitely worth following and binge listening!

Opus 5 vs The Hype Cycle | Unbiased Breakdown
Q: I graduated in 2024 without a job offer and am considering a master's; how should I plan the next stage of my career?

Kimi K3 China's 2.8 Trillion Parameter AI Just Dethroned Claude!
Q: Question today comes from our discourse: how to answer the dreaded compensation target question in a second-round interview.
Strategies include citing a researched salary range from sources like Levels.fyi or Glassdoor, offering a range that aligns with the top end of your expectations while leaving room for negotiation, asking for more information about role needs before giving a target, and using market-rate data when pressed. If unsure, acknowledge uncertainty and express flexibility, then steer toward a mutual, negotiable outcome.
Why Senior Software Developers Are Failing to Land Jobs (And How to Fix It)
Q: Should I email the recruiter to ask about the hiring process, or wait for the Friday interview window?
Ask clarifying questions early, but avoid overloading the recruiter with work; if possible, pose a concise request to understand what to walk into and what the next two interviews will look like to prepare effectively.
Staff Engineer VS Senior Software Engineer. Want the promotion? Here's the Differences!
Q: How do you know when to stop iterating on a solution and ship it?
Ship iteratively, start with a solid 60% external-facing version or internal beta, collect feedback, and iterate. Perfection is less important than delivering a workable, valuable solution that can be improved with real user input.
