  • Informative and Fun

I’ve been listening to the podcast since Fall of 2024 and joined Melissa’s Organizers Essential course. Love the energy, realistic approach to this business while always adding a little humor and sarcasm. I feel like her conversations help take pressure off the perfectionist mentality we can sometimes have as organizers and reminds me that it’s just about having conversations and asking questions.

  • Professional organizers you need this podcast!

I cannot believe all this information Melissa is providing is free. As a professional organizer who had a business for 6 years, I still find this podcast very valuable, extremely interesting and also fun! Whenever I get messages from new organizers asking for tips, I send them to this podcast and pro organizer studio course right away. I cannot thank Melissa and Jen enough for all this information that helped me start and grown my business and their continue support.

213 | Burnout is real. Let's talk about it. | Dr. Camilla Moore
Q: Do you see people that are able to pretty successfully recover from burnout, or is it a really long process?
Recovery from burnout can vary, as it often depends on the length and severity of the burnout, but it can take considerable time to figure out what one wants to do moving forward.
212 | Pinterest for professional organizers: it's not just for recipes and decorating ideas!
Q: Is Pinterest a little bit more of the like, it probably has more of a long tail of like, if you put something up there, it has a greater chance of getting a reach?
Yeah, and I mean, whatever you put on Pinterest today, it's not going to like rank on Pinterest tomorrow. It is something that is kind of like more long term and builds up over time.
212 | Pinterest for professional organizers: it's not just for recipes and decorating ideas!
Q: If you've never been on Pinterest before, you really don't know anything about Pinterest. Do you suggest getting in there and just kind of looking around?
If you have absolutely no idea where to get started, it is probably helpful to kind of search around on Pinterest.
212 | Pinterest for professional organizers: it's not just for recipes and decorating ideas!
Q: If someone wants to follow you, like if they find one of your pins and then want to follow you, if someone's really into Pinterest, they're going to want to see a page that's built out. Is that fair?
Yeah. So, followers are helpful because when someone follows you, or even if they interact with a lot of your pins, Pinterest is more likely to show your content in their home feed.
