Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Dispatch Bay feat. Jordan Buckley & Will Putney (Better Lovers)
Q: What has the band just finished touring and what does the 'end of the cycle' feel like for you both?
The band has wrapped a long cycle with the current record and is transitioning into new material, with a sense of relief and a plan to take a break before writing more; it's about closing this chapter while staying hungry for new material.
258 - Ryan Evans (Tyrannocoreus, PBS.FM)
Q: What do you have planned for the rest of the year?
At the time of recording of this, I've got Better Lovers next week, which will be really cool.
258 - Ryan Evans (Tyrannocoreus, PBS.FM)
Q: Talk to me about working with Robin. You guys have done a couple of little crossover bits and pieces since her show started last year.
Robin and I gelled from the second that we met. It just felt like we were siblings. Like we just had that instant chemistry.
258 - Ryan Evans (Tyrannocoreus, PBS.FM)
Q: So how do you go about curating episodes? What's your kind of, like, weekly plan to do the show?
I try and plan pretty far in advance because, again, for me, it's my neurodiversion side of my brain. I'm like, I need to be organized, I need to be prepped.
258 - Ryan Evans (Tyrannocoreus, PBS.FM)
Q: How do you conceive of Tyrannocoreus? The name itself, are you just like a Jurassic Park head? Is that where it comes from?
100% it is, and in hindsight, my only regret from the last five years is choosing a five syllable word that doesn't exist to be my program name, but that's my identity now.
