I am 60 years old, and I watched Avatar with my kids so many times, I have the show memorized. Kelly and Colton are great at pointing out what is so great about the show, and why it has held my attention for so long. I love the research they have done to explain the details of the ATLA world. Their banter is light-hearted, so it doesn’t seem weird to analyze a kid’s show so carefully.
As someone who has spent the last 15 or so years thinking way too much about the Avatar universe, this podcast is such a nice reminder that I’m not the only one who thinks it’s an incredibly deep and poignant show while still being light and fun (for the kids or whatever). I can’t wait to hear more of Kelly and Colton’s thoughts as I plan out more Avatar tattoos to get and clutch my plushie Appa to my heart (yeah I’m 26 what’s your point?)
This is a great podcast that shares deep insights into Avatar. I have watched all of the episodes many times since it was on Nick. This podcast starts by reminding me of the great moments in the show, then moves on to analyze the messages that are the key to making the series wonderful. Worth every moment.
Thanks to Netflix, so many people are re-watching Avatar: The Last Airbender or finally watching it for the first time and this podcast hits the spot for your more Avatar content needs. Hosts Kelly and Colton are long-time friends and their banter is excellent and so much fun. Their different perspectives – Kelly first the show when she was younger and has rewatched the show many times, while Colton only first watched it this year and is on his first rewatch – inspire interesting and insightful ... more
Love it! Super funny and I very much enjoy the banter and Star Wars references! It is nice listening to your thoughts from a rewatch perspective since it is my first watch through.
