Why do the guests sound like they’re speaking through a tin can? It’s 2025, for Pete’s sake.

  • Podcast always leaves a lot to be desired

I check this podcast hoping for good updates on Ms State, but usually get inundated with repetitive ad reads and a host that asks questions like a 14 year old hosting his YouTube channel. Went to listen to a 13 minute segment today that interested me and the first 3:30 were ads and ad reads. Waste of time with an occasional good interview from time to time.

  • Need to increase volume of call in guests

As a MS Expat, I appreciate the show for interviews and perspectives I don’t get living out of State. But they need to get the audio volume of their guest more balanced with Bo’s. It’s probably doable sitting in a quiet setting but difficult in the car or other scenarios that aren’t ideal. Way too much discrepancy in many of the interviews. I’ve given up listening on more than one occasion. Most recently with the Jans interview.

    Really my only complaint.

  • Unlistenable

1/2 the pod is commercials, not counting the in-show commercials reads. Every 3-4 months I’ll tune in because of a big story (like a coaching search) and I’m like oh yeah this is why I don’t listen every weekday.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

$how Me The Money ft. Dave Bartoo -- Bartoo talks NFL Draft! Which SEC programs have fed the most talent to the NFL?
Q: If you were drafting in the top 12, do you prioritize best player available or fitting a need, and how does cost come into play?
The preferred approach is still best player available, but teams must balance long-term cost: a veteran at a premium salary may be less valuable than drafting a high-potential player who can be developed for four years, with defensive value often optimizing early picks.
$how Me The Money ft. Dave Bartoo -- Bartoo talks NFL Draft! Which SEC programs have fed the most talent to the NFL?
Q: What is your take on the quarterback projection metric, and how does quarterback effect help evaluate NFL readiness?
Bartoo emphasizes the quarterback effect as the best single metric to gauge impact, arguing that a quarterback's ability to raise a team's performance relative to expectations is crucial, and that a strong quarterback can elevate players and teams in the draft calculus.
$how Me The Money ft. Dave Bartoo -- Bartoo talks NFL Draft! Which SEC programs have fed the most talent to the NFL?
Q: Let's get into, give me your top, I don't care how many, your top two, three, four, five NFL development programs in the SEC and your bottom three or four, Dave Bartoo.
Georgia leads in development with a strong per-pick value, while Alabama and LSU perform solidly but often overdrafted; Kentucky emerges as a defensive outlier with exceptional starts-per-player despite modest draft counts. The bottom end features Florida and Auburn for overdrafting relative to on-field production, with Missouri also underperforming defensively.
4-25-26 Hour 2: The Draft recap continues! Steve Palazzolo joins the show to help us out.
Q: What did you think about the Cowboys' defense-first approach, and is there long-term value in trading up for Caleb Downs?
Palazzolo supported the move to secure Downs, highlighting his elite play across Alabama and Ohio State, and noted the long-term value of upgrading the secondary, especially in light of the team's defensive needs.
4-25-26 Hour 2: The Draft recap continues! Steve Palazzolo joins the show to help us out.
Q: Who did you have as your top wide receivers in this class and why?
Palazzolo explained Tate as the best overall option given his outside ability and refined route running, while Lemon and Tyson offered different fits and ceilings, with Tyson bringing inside/outside versatility.
