There’s no shortage of Doctor Who podcasts out there, but after lockdown substantially accelerated my bingeing, this has fast become one of my favourites. No high concept to it other than the Nimon motif - and to be fair, what higher concept do you need than that - but it’s a pleasure to listen to two bright, funny fans who know the show inside out, absolutely love it, but don’t take it all in deadly earnest.

Entertaining, insightful, and mostly camp repartee from a pair at opposite ends of the world (but not of Who fandom). I’m enjoying the focus on fun: who could resist ten reasons to love Time and the Rani (well, some of them, anyway)? TBH they won me over by starting with The Ribos Operation, but have interesting things to say about many more eras.

If you’re a big dr who fan, this is for you. Maybe not for the casual fan so much given the amount of classic and bf references. The audio quality is not great. They could really benefit from recording from both ends of the call. At points in multiple episodes I can hear Joe - I think it is - breathing through his nose as Jack is talking because of their weird set up. Obvs this is just a teething issue and things are bound to improve as they go on. Love the controversial opinions, keep em coming... more
