  • The Rambler

Personally I prefer the long rambling discussion format, over the concise book report style. It makes the show seem much more like a conversation I’m a part of than a lecture I’m attending. The more side quests we go on the better as far as I’m concerned. I’d love to see them do Jacqueline Carey’s Kushiel books, and Feist’s full Riftwar saga. ( I don’t know what the name is for the entire series is). It’s not finished yet, and once it’s finished The Locked Tomb series would be interesting.

  • Let’s Gooo! HaDah 🙏🏻

I love this neurospicy and generally spicy couple taking on the Wheel of Time and the Cosmere! It is full of unspoiled tangents and theories and arguments and inspired me to take on the BrandoSando works Make sure you fallow them on YouTube for more SFF and Anime coverage because their on screen chemistry and presentation is great! @NerdyNightly

  • enjoyable until not

I have enjoyed listening to commentary by first time readers of one of my very favorite book series. They have an interesting outlook and perspective that is different than my own which I appreciate. However, there has been a large and overdrawn focus on negative portions of the books throughout the episodes. It is understandable for the “slog” books as they have been nicknamed the slog for a reason. I understand and even enjoy some of the discussion focusing on why these two may feel negative b... more

  • I'll make an analogy...

I'm reminded of a Bible fanfiction I read nearly half a lifetime ago.

At first, it's 3 vignettes about the relationship between Christ and his followers. First, the PoV character enters her home, to find Jesus washing her dishes. She is shocked and disturbed to find someone she calls "Lord" doing menial chores for her, but Jesus insists that serving those in need is what he's about.

Next, she sees Jesus at a hotdog stand, selling hotdogs, and is offended that he's doing such menial work for the ... more
