I just finished reading East of Eden for my book club and I was absolutely amazed, traumatized, blown away by Steinbecks deep dive into humanity. I love your conversation and it’s helping me think more deeply about all the themes and characters in this story. I agree this it is a very masculine story, but as a woman, there are many struggles with sin, choices, consequences that span all of humanity. I’m so glad I read this book. I think it will haunt me for a long time.
