  • Superb medieval history podcast

This is such a good podcast for those interested- you don’t have to be an expert but it’s not dumbed down. My area of interest is primarily in deep history, but I always enjoy the experts sharing their work. The range of subjects and guest experts are fantastic, always something interesting and focused on Irish experiences.

  • Entertaining, colorful & thought provoking

Before long into the episodes, I become kind of entranced about the culture and personages of the Irish “landscape” during the medieval centuries. Following the stories with further readings has been very fun in terms of how much more there is to know. It’s kind of a relief to leave these times and float off and consider the intelligence, zeal, the evolving philosophies & spirituality, and the societal intrigues, about the famous Irish figures, some of whom seem oddly relevant now.

  • Bloody Good

A great mix of a host and guest combo who deftly match an energized and engaging tone with redoubtable knowledge which is always expertly communicated. Everything is explained in a way that both makes sense and informs, and though the topics are often not ones I would have foreseen I’ve never left dissapointed.
