Q: What inspired you to build the marketing-led product launch framework instead of continuing with the traditional stage gate process?
The traditional process limited marketing to a late-stage checklist, creating inefficiencies and fires. I wanted a framework that documents marketing's actual responsibilities across all stages, enables collaboration with engineering and sales, and provides a scalable approach that could be rolled out globally with localized assets.

Q: Katie, can you please introduce yourself and tell folks who you are and a bit about your story?
I lead marketing at Flow International, Flow Waterjet, FlowCorp, and related brands. I joined Flow in 2010, started as a graphic designer, moved into campaign management and other marketing roles, left for a while to work at an agency and a non-profit, then boomeranged back in 2021 as Senior Marketing Director. My focus is building a repeatable process to bring new products to market in a global, cross-functional setting.
