...for this and Old Gods of Appalachia. And even just this would justify it. Oh, worth it. I've got this yearning for southern horror lately and I'm in love.
I haven't listened to a serial fiction like this in a long time and this one was incredible! Intense and well-paced writing was made even better with excellent narration. The only downside for me was the ads. I pay money so I don't have to hear ads. And these ads seemed overly loud and annoying, compared with the somber tone of the story. They were jarring. But no complaints about the podcast itself. Wonderful storytelling!

I’ve been listening to audio dramas for almost 50 years and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this is one of the best I’ve ever listened to. If you pass this one up, you will regret it.
Another example why professional productions in audiodrama are not necessarily good. This one starts very well (the gut wrenching descriptions of bullying) but then doesn't utilise its mystery properly. Instead it turns into a law drama with some supernatural sprinkles. The main character describes a lot instead of DOING things. And the ending? While not very creative still more interesting than what happend before.
