Great perspective into the game -- these ladies crush ttrpg play and manage to bring some laughs, and scares along the way!
With so many actual play podcasts, it can be hard to stand out. But this one does. In equal measures macabre and funny, the world created is strong in its identity, and the play style of this all-ladies is their own, as in they put all of themselves into this without fail. Sure, the audio in the beginning has its moments, but they take it in stride, and if you do, you'll be rewarded for it.
This podcast is so good and just got better as it went on. I loved the first season so much and thought it would be hard to top, but the third was a tour de force in storytelling, character building, and tension arc. Just listened to the season finale. I am stoked for the next season and so excited for everything to come from these talented roleplayers/actors/GM.
I haven't played Call of Cthulhu since my teens but was drawn to listen to this and am totally along for the ride now. GM Cassie doesn't pull the punches and this feels authentically Lovecraftian with Chicago mob action thrown in for good measure (I am still early on in the series). The players are all great and I love the personalities they give their investigators. Thank you for a highly entertaining listen!
One of the few Call of Cthulhu podcasts I lsiten to... OK the ONLY one I listen to but I enjoy it immensely. Season 1 told a fantastic story which genuinely had me in tears for the final episode and season 2 is shaping up to be just as interesting!
