Hi Madeline, loved this episode so much. I too am a fan of the cinematic masterpiece Practical Magic. I too have an October birthday, the 31st to be exact🎃. I read the book a few years ago and while it is good, it lacks the charm of the movie. Maybe if I had never seen the movie I would feel differently. As a fan of the movie, I would not recommend the book. It left me feeling sad and disappointed. The characters in the book are so not fun.
