  • Podcast inexplicably fails to play

The Lancet Hematology in conversation with podcast consistently fails to play, presenting a completely unhelpful message stating “This episode can’t be played on this device.” This bug is 100% reproducible. I subscribe to >50 podcasts, however, only podcasts published by The Lancet seem to be affected by this issue. Several of my colleagues are similarly affected. After troubleshooting the issue with Apple technical support, I was informed that the bug is due to The Lancet’s server configuration... more

Presented at ASH 2025: EPCORE CLL-1 trial on epcoritamab monotherapy for Richter transformation
Q: What were the key efficacy outcomes and how do they translate for patients?
Overall, 48% of all patients achieved an objective response, with 57% in first-line RT and 38% in relapse settings; complete responses were particularly notable in first-line patients (52%), and the data suggest a potential for durable remissions, though many patients eventually relapsed, highlighting the need for consolidation strategies.
Presented at ASH 2025: EPCORE CLL-1 trial on epcoritamab monotherapy for Richter transformation
Q: Could you walk us through the trial design and who joined the study?
The trial enrolled patients with biopsy-proven CD20-positive Richter transformation, including first-line RT patients and those relapsed after prior chemotherapy, with a cohort allowing those ineligible for chemotherapy to participate; epcoritamab was given subcutaneously with a weekly, then biweekly schedule, transitioning to monthly dosing later in the cycle.
ASH 2025 Preview - Expert Roundtable
Q: To kick things off, which thalassemia and sickle cell disease sessions and topics are you most looking forward to at ASH?
The guest highlights renewed focus on educational and scientific sessions around management of anemia, iron toxicity, thrombosis in hemoglobinopathies, fetal hemoglobin gene regulation, and the integration of AI into daily practice, with special interest in iron metabolism, hydroxyurea guidelines, and real-world evidence.
Erica Kaye and Dylan Graetz discuss expert recommendations for the conduct and appraisal of qualitative research in haematology
Q: What are the five pillars you identify as core to high-quality qualitative research, and how should they be applied?
The five pillars are engagement, flexibility, transparency, transferability, and impact, and each should be demonstrated at every step of the research process to ensure meaningful contribution to knowledge, policy, and patient outcomes.
