  • My favorite insightful voice

I bought a daily wire subscription based on Jeremy doing unscripted longform chats during Covid. Six years later, he is just as honest and insightful and genuinely invested in conversation, if not more.

The platform he built, owes him a debt I’m sure he was not paid enough for.

I’m grateful he’s back on the airwaves chatting along with us through these turbulent times.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

We Are Living in an Antichrist Moment | Ep. 25 with Fr. Steve Grunow
Q: What responsibility do we have in practical terms to change the medium itself to favor the good?
We must engage ethically and intentionally with technology, use our platforms to promote virtue, and pursue innovations that advance the gospel without surrendering to sensationalism or nihilism in the digital age.
We Are Living in an Antichrist Moment | Ep. 25 with Fr. Steve Grunow
Q: Do you feel like there are challenges that are unique to new media, to digital media that didn't exist earlier?
Absolutely. We underestimated the human and spiritual dynamics involved; there's a need to recognize additional darker natures at play and to adapt spiritually to a landscape that didn't exist when media first emerged.
We Are Living in an Antichrist Moment | Ep. 25 with Fr. Steve Grunow
Q: I'm curious, after spending so much time in this line, do you still believe that media is an effective tool for evangelizing?
Yes, media can be very effective for evangelization, but it must serve the missionary mandate and not be co-opted by darker powers or self-serving agendas; the razor's edge is necessary to keep it aligned with Christ's mission.
Colin Wright Convinced a $1.8 Billion Institution to Fix Science | Ep. 34
Q: What policy changes does he advocate to reduce ideological bias in federally funded research?
He suggests limiting where federally funded research can be published, removing mandatory reflexivity/positionality requirements, and possibly implementing a falsifiability standard to ensure research conclusions are openly testable and not driven by ideology.
Colin Wright Convinced a $1.8 Billion Institution to Fix Science | Ep. 34
Q: What is the proposed alternative to current peer-review practices?
He describes a post-publication peer-review model within a major journal that includes a built-in right of reply, ensures transparency, and prioritizes coherent arguments over ideological alignment, with readers able to see subsequent rebuttals and responses.
