This show is excellent with coverage of current affairs and the host is very likable.
Klavan is a fantastic story teller and analyst. From his weekly Friday show, to his midweek interviews, to Klavan On The Culture with his son, Spencer (no relation), I am entertained and educated by every episode. Highly recommended!
I have been a loyal listener of Andrew Klavan from the beginning and the weekly Friday only episodes have become my most anticipated podcast show of all shows (to avoid a Klavan-less darkness). Drew’s insights and understanding of the importance of culture and values is compelling and at times emotionally stirring (and often funny, yet irreverent). The newest edition, Klavans on the culture, is also a can’t miss series, as Spencer Klavan (no relation) is such an inspirational commentator and the... more
Most successful entertainers become arrogant about their opinions when presenting conflicting or unpopular pieces of information. Andrew consistently presents his views humbly (usually) and informatively (always). He is not overbearing like many of his contemporaries. He has great family values as well. He is only slighted in his field because he is not a spectacular self-promoter like the others. Give him a shake; I know you’ll enjoy! Came for Ben; stayed for Klavan.
Need to keep Klavans on the Culture going. Great to have some actual thought and discussion about movies, books, and shows without the typical reactionary partisan lense. Content is great and the interaction between father and son is great to observe. Although they aren’t related so maybe it’s a little strange now that I think about it :).

A provocative, opinionated show that blends political commentary, cultural critique, and interviews with guests ranging from journalists to authors. Episodes frequently tackle media bias, American politics, and studies of culture, often through a conservative lens that emphasizes tradition, liberty, and institutional reform. The format mixes solo rants, guest conversations, and sponsor reads, resulting in sharp takes, controversial viewpoints, and think-piece style discussion. Notable strengths include a distinctive voice, a habit of weaving current events with historical perspectives, and a willingness to feature guests with varied expertise who can anchor the host's provocative theses. Potential listeners can expect fiery rhetoric, humor,... more
