Really annoying. Unlistenable. Wanted to like it but it is evidence that not everyone should have a podcast and not everyone need be making vertical content.
While Hollywood sleepwalks into irrelevance, Jay and Tony are three moves ahead, breaking down why vertical micro-dramas are eating everyone's lunch overseas. No podcast bloat, just straight facts about why your next competitor isn't Netflix – it's a 19-year-old with a ring light. Their Quibi post-mortem alone is worth the subscribe. Essential listening for anyone tired of executives pretending they understand "the TikToks."
I could care less about TV. But I genuinely found these two (dare I say clowns) fascinating! The tv stuff they talk about actually relates to real life. Great listen! Glad I found it!
Not only did their banter keep me laughing, their perspective on the changing television landscape was so smart. Feels like a masterclass of how tv has evolved in the past 5 years and where we are now, but light and easy for anyone inside or outside of the tv industry. If you’re a lover of television- you want to check this one out!

A sharp, conversation-driven show that focuses on verticals—short-form, bite-sized dramas that are reshaping global entertainment. Episodes commonly dissect production economics, distribution across East and West, brand and sponsorship integration, and the evolving role of AI and new tech in creating and marketing micro-dramas. The hosts trade candid takes on platform dynamics, funding, and talent strategy, often contrasting Hollywood norms with rapid, creator-led models from international markets. A standout is the show's willingness to challenge conventional TV wisdom with bold predictions and practical, real-world anecdotes from pioneers in the vertical space.
