  • Not good.

Very antisemitism, almost to the point of the controlling the weather.

I find it sad to have a fellow Catholic with such antisemitism feelings.

  • Same old song

I checked out this podcast on the recommendation of a Catholic YouTuber that I follow and respect. Granted, it was a second-hand recommendation from her husband apparently but I was disappointed to hear that it was the same old song about “Christian persecution” and “anything I don’t agree with is demonic”. I think the clincher for me was that they defended Trump who is undoubtedly the least Christian man in politics and a total fraud and hypocrite. Jason and his guest took offense at being comp... more

  • Hawaii conservative?!

Jason is from Hawaii, which means he knows liberal politics better than almost anybody. Listen to Jason if you want to hear a thoughtful Conservative who know what it’s like to live under one-party rule.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

A Field Manual to Conscientious Objection | Captain Josephine Guilbeau
Q: What led you to become an advocate for soldiers' rights to refuse illegal orders?
Witnessing the Gaza crisis and the broader military-industrial complex moved her to reassess her role, realizing she couldn't stay silent about what she had seen and the harm caused by wars driven by power and profit. She found a sense of duty to speak out and to help others find lawful paths to conscientious objection.
What About Nigeria? | Father Viktor
Q: What can Western policy or media do to better illuminate and mitigate these crises?
Move beyond binary narratives, push for nuanced reporting, support local security and humanitarian efforts like VPP's model, and encourage NGOs and governments to adopt sustainable, ground-level protection strategies rather than one-off interventions.
What About Nigeria? | Father Viktor
Q: What is the real goal of this violence in Nigeria, and who might be funding it?
The discussion suggests a mix of religious, political, and economic factors driving violence, with indications that leadership and state actors may be complicit or indifferent; the goal appears to be the suppression or eradication of Christian communities, with complex funding networks and political incentives behind the violence.
Relaunch Rock for Life | Bryan Kemper
Q: What sparked your transition from viewing pro-life work as a noun to an action-oriented verb?
The shift came from experiences on the ground—rescue events, confrontations at abortion mills, and cross-cultural conversations—that underscored the need for tangible, face-to-face engagement and culture-making through music and community.
Relaunch Rock for Life | Bryan Kemper
Q: What year did you first get active in Hawaii?
Bryan Kemper describes starting in 1989, with early work in Hawaii that later led to founding Rock for Life in 1993 and a commitment to direct, on-the-ground activism.
