Surely listen, I'm not lyin'.
Soundclips, tangents, and discussion,
Shenanigans, maybe some fussin',
Plus odds and ends, and games and fun,
Some lists and stuff - a perfect sum.
(I know that's not a perfect rhyme.
But hey, I am not that sublime.)
Every week without a break,
No, no, no, this is no fake,
An episode will be put out -
A lot of work, without a doubt.
Be sure: I am not joking, Lee!
It's real, please, you should trust me:
"It's got Star Trek" sure is fun. more
When they stay on topic and don't speak over each other the show is pretty good. Unfortunately, that's exactly what they do 90% of the time. Most of the time it is 3 or 4 dudes talking over each other like they all recorded their own shows and then combined all the audio together. It's completely incoherent.
Funniest Star Trek pod out there. Absurdist comedy at its finest.
Amazing interaction between the hosts. The sound effect usage is fun, but sometimes over the top. I rarely learn new things about Star Trek but enjoy hearing their discussion about it. I can not wait to hear my haiku.
IGST is a phenomenal conversation on each episode of Star Trek. They have created sort of a non-randomizing algorithm that chooses the episode of the week — just one of the many ways you can hear the work that is put into this show. ***I am updating this review specifically in the hopes that I will get my frakking haiku.***
They have three hosts with vastly differing approaches, styles and personalities, who each also bring their own particular flavor to the show.

It's Got Star Trek is legitimately one of the best podcasts I've ever heard. Top 10 all-time, and not even just among Trek pods - among ALL pods.
If you don't like this podcast, I don't want to know you.
The winning formula for this series is simple: friends + Star Trek + hysterical soundbites = nerdy comedy gold. Patrick, Dan, and Jesse have an easy, comfortable style of banter that gives their recaps of current and classic Trek a friendly, accessible vibe. But it’s Dan’s perfectly clipped and hysterically timed pops of sound from all your favorite characters that sets this show far apart from any others I listen to. Shouts of “Chief O’Brien” or “holograms” or even well-spotted, rhythmic langua... more

This is a great Star Trek podcast. The guys are obviously having fun and know their stuff.
Holograms
I have tried this a couple of times. It is not always grating, but it usually is. At the moment, I would recommend Enterprise Incidents as an alternative.
Definitely recommend if you’re a star trek fan! they have good insight and the humor is spot on. Do not drink any liquids while listening because spitting out your drink may occur ;)
If you like Star Trek, there is a non-zero chance you will like It's Got Star Trek.
Look, not everyone should have a podcast, here’s an example. Tuned in for the Picard Finale and man was this a terrible listen. It’s one thing to have multiple people yelling over each other to get their bad jokes out, but this goes a step above by blasting a terrible kazoo noise directly into your ears for “comedic effect(?) I guess. It’s not just bad, it literally hurts to listen to. Avoid like the Borg.
These guys are well researched, funny and make me nearly crash my car because I’m laughing so much.
It my life ambition to watch trek and hangout with these guys.
