  • This platform is not to promote your products I guess.

It should have an Indian host if it’s about India. It should be more about the basic things and not about what the other prople have achieved. I guess everyone is here to get an idea on what can be done to bring a new idea into existence but everybody on podcast is to promoted theirs product and not to explain how Indian startup works.

Good inspiring podcast, but I couldn’t help but notice the volume level was a bit low. If you could increase the volume level a bit more it would be great.

Saurabh Nigam, author of People-Powered Startups: Building a Culture of Collaboration, Innovation, and High Performance.
Q: If a founder had only five minutes to absorb the core message of your book, what's like the one page or concept they must read?
They should read the chapters on 20 HR mistakes startups make and HR myths in startups to understand the importance of effective people practices.
Saurabh Nigam, author of People-Powered Startups: Building a Culture of Collaboration, Innovation, and High Performance.
Q: What advice would you give to that startup founder dealing with toxic high performers?
Define what's okay and what's not okay in your organization, and make sure to communicate these behaviors to everyone to maintain a healthy culture.
Saurabh Nigam, author of People-Powered Startups: Building a Culture of Collaboration, Innovation, and High Performance.

Saurabh Nigam, author of People-Powered Startups: Building a Culture of Collaboration, Innovation, and High Performance.
Q: What sort of employee count do I first feel the need for dedicated HR support?
The moment you feel that you cannot have bandwidth to spend quality time with each team member, that's when you need HR support; typically between 20 to 50 people is where most organizations feel the need.
From Mumbai to NYC: Leia Tyebjee on Building Pylot Studios, a global platform empowering emerging artists
Q: How do you approach breaking barriers and making an impact in a male-dominated industry?
I try my best to remember that there are women in other fields who have to go through the same thing, and unfortunately that’s the way the world has made it for us.
