Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

EP 260: Outdoor Writer & Whitetail Hunter, Paul Annear.
Q: How did you get into hunting and writing?
I started with a lifelong passion, kept notes from every hunt, and turned those notes into articles; persistence and building relationships with editors opened doors to major magazines and blogs.
EP 257: Austin Stone w. Tactical Approach Outdoors
Q: How do you approach food plot prep in a busy season to keep everything efficient?
Plan in layers: brush hog, spray, seed, and rain timing, while aligning multiple properties so you can move from one site to another without downtime; pre-stock seed and inputs so you can act quickly when rain arrives.
EP 257: Austin Stone w. Tactical Approach Outdoors
Q: What is the most important thing to plan for at the start of habitat work season?
Identify the top priorities by looking at which projects will give the most bang for your buck that year, then stagger them in a way that fits weather, time, and budget constraints.
EP 242: Outdoor Colorado w. Josh & Frank Jr. Villa
Q: What are your core values and mission at Outdoor Colorado?
We focus on youth-parent relationships, ethics in hunting and fishing, and creating a sense of family and commitment among participants.
EP 242: Outdoor Colorado w. Josh & Frank Jr. Villa
Q: What inspired you to start Outdoor Colorado?
We wanted to create an opportunity for families to experience the outdoors without financial burdens.
