  • Important, valuable but too focused on feeling despair, input of interviewer over takes conversation

This is an important podcast. Victoria’s book Church of the Wild changed my life and gave me community. The points that keep coming up in my mind, however, when I listen to the episodes are: I already understand and internalize grief, loss and sadness at the negative impacts humans have had on the natural world. What I think is needed is not dwelling on the heartbreak and tragedy every episode but focusing on hope and goodness and how we can get there through ritual and connection. It’s almost a... more

Wholeness as the Holy Work of Process Theology with Dr. Sheri Kling
Q: Could you give a concise explanation of who Alfred North Whitehead is and what process theology actually posits—how does this connect to Jung and psychology in your work?
Whitehead is presented as a philosopher of organism who sees reality as events and relational becoming, while Jung contributes a focus on the psyche; Kling explains the overlaps—value, relationality, transformation—and how dream work enables embodied wholeness that mirrors cosmic-process ideas.
Wholeness as the Holy Work of Process Theology with Dr. Sheri Kling
Q: You say that your purpose is midwifing wholeness and healing separation—what drew you to seeing what needs to happen in terms of process theology and weaving it into a spirituality that connects inner life with the outer world?
The guest describes a personal trajectory from trauma and disembodiment to a lived spirituality grounded in relationality, embodiment, and the co-creative flow between the inner psyche and the outer ecosystem, inspired by process thought and Jungian psychology to guide transformation in everyday life.
Remembering The World As Lover and As Self with Joanna Macy (In Memoriam)
Q: What is Macy's view of our current moment and how should we respond to it?
The host and Macy emphasize moving from reactionary outrage to a patient, love-rooted action that honors our interdependence with Earth and each other, using crisis as a compass to build a more just and living civilization.
Awakening a Forest Sense: Grief, Mystery, and the Reformation of Faith with Michael Ellick
Q: Tell me something about the land who raised you?
Michael describes growing up in the woods near Olympia, Washington, where the forest and a sacred rock became his early teachers, shaping a sense that the land is a living, relational being and that spiritual truth can arise from direct encounter with nature.
Art & Technology As A Portal Into Kinship with Barnaby Steel
Q: What is the core idea behind using technology to foster kinship with the natural world?
The core idea is to use immersive technology to shift perception, allowing people to experience their interdependence with ecosystems in a embodied way, so that kinship becomes a lived reality rather than a concept.
