Gothic Romances and Ghosts Galore! with J. Ann Thomas - The Spirit Collection of Thorne Hall
Q: What are you working on next?
I'm drafting a religious-inspired fantasy set in Italy, dealing with demons and angels, and also something contemporary with witchy elements.
Gothic Romances and Ghosts Galore! with J. Ann Thomas - The Spirit Collection of Thorne Hall
Q: How did you feel about narrating your own audiobook?
It was a thrilling experience. I have a background in performing arts, and being able to read my words aloud and connect with them felt rewarding, although it was quite taxing.
Gothic Romances and Ghosts Galore! with J. Ann Thomas - The Spirit Collection of Thorne Hall
Q: Was it difficult to keep track of the 15 ghosts in your story?
I used a map of the house and created backgrounds for each ghost to keep track of them all, determining their presence based on where the scenes were set.
Gothic Romances and Ghosts Galore! with J. Ann Thomas - The Spirit Collection of Thorne Hall
Q: Can you tell listeners a little bit about The Spirit Collection Of Thorne Hall?
It's a Gothic fantasy where spirits bound to a mansion interact with the main character. The main character grows up in this haunted house, knowing the ghosts intimately that she interacts with as much as her living family.
Gothic Romances and Ghosts Galore! with J. Ann Thomas - The Spirit Collection of Thorne Hall
Q: What is your origin story? How did you get into book writing to begin with?
I started writing in middle school. My idea for the Asperfel Trilogy evolved from ideas formed around 2017. I never intended for it to be anything significant and went through the publishing process with my editor and eventually reached out to an agent after reading the book aloud to my husband.
