  • Not a report

Disappointed, was expecting a Tri analysis on geopolitics and international relations- technical, nuanced, experienced- but it’s just the tabling of an amateur who doesn’t seem to have any kind of background in the subject and repeats and insists common cliches, buzzwords, trends, etc…

  • Worth your while!

Greenfield’s range of knowledge and real-time insights are impressive. He’s my go-to source at Quora.com. Don’t waste your time (or money) at the deeply compromised NYT or WaPo. Henry Greenfield got the goods!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 23- Nuclear Dominoes: Inside the Iran-Israel Showdown. With Marc Finaud
Q: What were the core mechanisms of the JCPOA that controlled Iran's program, and why did the withdrawal destabilize those controls?
The JCPOA imposed strict limits on enrichment, a robust verification regime, and sanctions relief in exchange for intrusive inspections; pulling out unilaterally removed the verification and economic constraints, which Iran had been compliant with for years, leading to renewed enrichment activity and intensified regional tensions.
Episode 18- Media Revolution: The Rise of Independent Voices
Q: How do you see the role of independent media like The Common Bridge in shaping public understanding of complex geopolitical issues?
Independent media can provide nuanced, historically informed discussions, bring in outside perspectives, and avoid partisan triggers, thereby helping audiences form more balanced views rather than simply aligning with a single political tribe.
Episode 18- Media Revolution: The Rise of Independent Voices
Q: What is your view on how the new media model handles corroboration and sourcing compared to legacy outlets?
New media can enable direct reporting with rapid access to sources, but it requires careful pattern recognition and a commitment to cross-checking and presenting sources, rather than simply amplifying sensational claims.
Episode 18- Media Revolution: The Rise of Independent Voices
Q: So could you please start off by telling us a little bit about what you think maybe is the what was wrong with the old media model and why this new media model is changing things and are people really reaching across the aisle as well as to people beyond the normal media model?
The old model was slower and regulated by editors; the new model is instant, global, and allows experts to share knowledge directly, though it also opens space for manipulation. Over time, consistency and credibility will be built by presenting well-sourced, contextualized information rather than chasing clicks.
Episode 14- China, Tariffs, and Global Economy Shifts. Part 2 with Eric Hendriks
Q: In your view, is the Trump approach to tariffs the best way to rebalance the US-China relationship, or could it backfire?
Tariffs are unlikely to achieve their intended balance and may instead complicate value chains and prompt other countries to seek independent deals, undermining alliances and potentially accelerating decoupling dynamics.
