Spectacular! Weird! Eerie! So worth a listen. Has all sorts of weird critters in it (humans included)
Arguable one of the weirdest fiction podcasts you'll hear. I have it in Fantasy, but that's not quite right. Then again... I don't know which category is correct. This is just... weird. But quite good!
A surreal adventure-experience with an exquisite soundscape, fun characters, talented actors, bizarre imagery, evocative poetry and even some sort of plot! I would definitely recommend this to myself, if I could forget things on demand.
Review
I recent tripped over this eargasm while in Mexico hunting possibilities in a Taco Bell parking lot. The Taco Bell only served mashed potatoes and shovels, but thankfully I was able to keep my earphones in thanks to that extra thick sauce, and listen with joy while being tickled.
Welcome to the most beautiful and terrifying battlefield/birthday party you’ve ever seen. The abstract prose and matching sound design will almost certainly send you on a trip. Plot and characters are fleeting, but that just makes more room for deliciously dense psychedelic imagery and soundscapes. Worth a listen even if you’re just looking for something startlingly different!
Strange and non-linear, this podcast is a trip each episode where nothing makes or makes as much sense as you think. Full of colourful and unique sound design as well as very well written and interesting characters.
The Great Chameleon War is the kind of work of art that makes other artists say, “Wow,” and “How did they do that?” and “I want to do that…” A surreal experience of abstract storytelling and acid washed sound design, TGCW changes and adapts, moving with reptilian liquidity, and blending genres like a Chameleon. The show’s most impressive quality is its inability to be classified or properly described. Even calling it ‘experimental’ wouldn’t come close to doing it justice. This isn’t just another... more
Heavily atmospheric hallucinogenic sound trip. Great if you aren’t looking for plot, characters, or dialogue. Or if you want to know what it’s like tripping on hallucinogens. Personally, I prefer my own stoned imagery.
There are no margins, nothing is linear, & everything is alive is this truly fantastic experience masquerading as a fiction podcast; because you don't just listen to this show, you LIVE it, & it's like taking psychedelics for your ears !! Subscribe now & come trip with us !!!

Surreal experimental storytelling that uses abstract poetic language and interesting sound design to build atmosphere. Explores memory and the intricacies holding life together and destroying it.
An incredible show, and probably the most unique Audio drama I've ever listened to.
that the chamelons mimic. Its our minds too. The way their skin changes to match the visible spectrum of their surroundings, so too, do their actions and outlooks contort to any psyche they encounter.
A world outlook which we brought onto them, with our weapons and our settler mindset. They only show us what we are at our best.
This podcast is definitely worth checking out
Listening to this show is truly an experience. It's absolutely surreal, a pocket of weird and wonderful that I do not understand but fully adore. The Great Chameleon War is doing something new with the audio drama medium and I'm here for it. The narration is soothing, the sound design is intricate, the writing is masterful, and thins tie together in expected ways. It's great!
