  • Favourite podcast

If you’d have told me 5 years ago that a women’s rugby podcast would be my favourite thing to listen to, I’d have been surprised to say the least, but being a girls rugby dad has opened my eyes and ears to so much more than just the sport. Best rugby show out there by far. Thank you.

Why Women’s Rugby Is Good Business
Q: What are the three main revenue streams for Women's Rugby right now?
Ticketing, sponsorship, and broadcast rights are the primary revenue levers driving growth, with ongoing challenges in valuing women's sports rights and achieving broad, year-round coverage.
Magic Meg Jones: MARRIAGE, Mischief & Merch
Q: What are your tips for managing an engagement and wedding planning while being an elite athlete?
Prioritize what matters most (the vibe and connection), involve trusted helpers for logistics, and keep plans flexible; small personal moments (coffee routines, mundane daily life) matter more than grand gestures.
Magic Meg Jones: MARRIAGE, Mischief & Merch
Q: How do you handle feedback from referees and the emotional responses of players?
Feedback should be delivered with boundaries and empathy; players will have emotional reactions, so coaches must separate personal feelings from performance and provide clear, written notes when possible.
Magic Meg Jones: MARRIAGE, Mischief & Merch
Q: What have you learned early in your career about what to do and what not to do with referees?
Key lessons include timing questions well, choosing battles, and adapting communication to avoid turning referees into opponents; focus on outcomes and how to present concerns calmly.
Hollie Davidson: History-Making Referee
Q: What did it feel like to referee a historic men's Six Nations match?
Hollie describes a surge of nerves followed by relief and pride, emphasizing how she was under intense scrutiny yet confident in her preparation and the long arc of her career that led to this moment.
