  • Golics Solid Gold

ESPN took way too long to bring Golics back on a morning daily broadcast!

I was thrilled to see this addition. Best part of my day!

Love the format, pacing, guest choices and the way they summarize games (so I look smart when I repeat to others!)

Am guilty of listening to podcasts twice because 2 hours not enough. SO much excellent information spoken from so much experience.

    Father & Son a bonus! ♥️

  • Excited to Have the Golics Back

I’m pumped to discover that Golic & GoJo are BACK. I don’t know how I missed the news before today; but can’t wait to get a regular dose of their distinctive perspective on Sports News. Listened to them for years going back to the Mike & Mike days and then with Wingo & finally Dad & Son together on another network. Heck, I’ve even followed their irreverent Family Podcast. I’ve got some catching up to do. Grateful that “The Mothership” there is a vast audience that’s still hungry to hear from T... more

  • Golic is back!!

So grateful to have Mike Golic Sr back on ESPN Radio. Listened to he and Greeny for so many years the show in the morning and then the condensed version on my afternoon drive. Still disappointed in Greeny the way that ended. Golic Sr always provides the best analysis and player perspectives. Golic Jr is coming give him a chance.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hour 2: Crayons
Q: What do you see as the main issue for this Bills defense?
Alexander points to communication, tackling and the lack of continuity among the defensive backs, and says the team needs to simplify its approach and stay on the same page.
Hour 2: Crayons
Q: Is this the best version of Josh Allen that you've seen for him in his career that includes an MVP?
Lorenzo Alexander says Allen is probably at his most mature, citing his experience, leadership and ability to control games. He adds that Buffalo needs better defense and a stronger running game for the playoffs.
Hour 2: No Sense of Whimsy
Q: Do you think Jonathan Taylor actually gets moved? Is he too foundational for Indianapolis going forward, given that he's only 27 years old?
Foxworth thinks Taylor could be traded if the Colts receive the right offer, since trading away major players indicates the team no longer has a foundation to build around.
Hour 2: No Sense of Whimsy
Q: Quinton Nelson or DeForest Buckner, which of those trades do you think is gonna have the biggest impact for the 49ers and the Seahawks the rest of the season?
Foxworth leans toward DeForest Buckner's impact with San Francisco, citing the 49ers' offense and their need for help on defense. He says both players can make a significant difference for their new teams.
Hour 1: Spicy Meatball
Q: Where does your aggressive mentality in big moments come from, and how much time do you spend preparing the team for those situations?
Stein said his confidence in the players, staff and preparation supports those choices. He explained that they prepare decisions in advance and sometimes prefer going for two to trying to win in a later overtime.
