  • Canty on maternity leave

You’d think they could find somebody who at least has a pulse to fill in for Canty while he’s out for weeks on end with his kid. Are they afraid the show would be better with someone who actually has an original opinion?

  • We are not watching the Disney Super Bowl

We have not forgotten the monstrosity that the Disney corporation has shown over the last year. I canceled everything Disney several months ago. We will not watch. We will not forget the corporation that turned its back on the people. So please, Mr. Evan, please stop with “the next Super Bowl it’s going to be amazing” maybe for a selective few in the country. I would not watch that Super Bowl even if the Cowboys were guaranteed to win. Also, ESPN is attacking the prediction markets because of it... more

  • My Favorite Morning Show

I so enjoy watching this show everyday. It is so interesting, fun, and funny. I think Michelle is so insanely smart and really knows her football. I like the producers a lot too. They are hilarious. It is cool to get a Superbowl champ’s (Chris Canty) perspective on football. Evan is always fun to watch. Great show!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Best of UnSportsmanLike 3/24/26
Q: What makes a successful college basketball program in your view?
Brad Underwood emphasizes character, work ethic, and building a program around the front of the jersey, not NIL alone, with a strong support staff and overseas recruiting.
Hour 2: Glass Slipper
Q: Would this then indicate that North Carolina should keep Hubert Davis or move on?
There's ambiguity: the UNC job carries immense branding and resource advantages, but today's coaching market and performance expectations complicate whether moving on would yield a better long-term fit; any decision would require a clear next-step candidate and a plan to modernize the program.
Hour 2: Glass Slipper
Q: Seth, your biggest takeaway from the St. John's, Kansas game yesterday was what?
The game showed a grind-it-out, old-school Big East style where defense and physical play dominated, and it highlighted key takeaways like how certain players stepped up under pressure and how coaching decisions influenced late-game outcomes.
Hour 3: Gold Nugget
Q: Schefter, you mentioned the owners meetings next week. Do we expect anything significant to come out of those owners meetings?
There could be a surprise or two, including possible schedule changes like the opening game timing, but nothing definitive was laid out yet; it's typical for the league to announce gradual calendar shifts.
Hour 4: Phil Martelli Jr.
Q: What unlocked the comeback for VCU against UNC?
The team tightened defense, executed the game plan, and found offense through shared ball movement and aggressive defense, turning the tide in the second half.
