I really enjoy this podcast - it’s an easy listen on clearly well researched topics. I trust the hosts and liked the last episode on predictions for 2026 so much that I felt compelled to write a review. Solid work, Ladies! Keep it up!

  • Criticizing Natural Beauty? That’s the Real Impediment!

Passing derogatory comments about someone's natural beauty and unique way of communicating is, in itself, a speech impediment.

Keep up the awesome work, Sara—you’ve inspired me to binge-listen to all the podcasts! Frankly, I didn’t even notice anything until I read that lame review’s by those ‘Ableists.’

I guess they’re not in the beauty industry—because if they understood beauty, they’d recognize yours!

  • Good content but host is unbearable

I’ve listened about 6 episodes and the guests and interviews have been great and very interesting but each time they cut to the host, it’s awful. She talks like a ditsy teenager and has a lisp. What were they thinking…was no one else a available to host this podcast?

Why AI-powered wellness chatbots will be 'table stakes' for supplement brands, with Thorne CSO Dr. Nathan Price
Q: What are the main challenges Taia faces, and how are you addressing them?
Key challenges include avoiding hallucinations, complying with Deschet law and health regulations, and ensuring product recommendations stay within the vetted Thorne catalog; Taia uses restricted outputs, curated sources, guardrails, and continuous monitoring to keep responses accurate and safe.
Why AI-powered wellness chatbots will be 'table stakes' for supplement brands, with Thorne CSO Dr. Nathan Price
Q: Why is a supplement company investing in an AI powered wellness chatbot?
The goal is dual: improve the quality of customer experience and enable truly personalized guidance, helping customers understand products and how they fit their wellness journey, which in turn can drive meaningful ROI through higher satisfaction, repeat purchases, and word-of-mouth recommendations.
How to turn a no from Ulta into a yes, even if it takes 7 years
Q: Why Ulta over Sephora, and did you also reach out to Sephora during the long pitching process?
Ulta aligned better with the brand ethos as a farm-friendly, approachable space that resonates with our story. Sephora, while familiar due to past industry connections, indicated not a fit at that time. The choice to pursue Ulta first was driven by culture fit and timing; we did circle back to Sephora during the long window of negotiations, but ultimately Ulta became the path that matched our strategic narrative and timeline.
How to turn a no from Ulta into a yes, even if it takes 7 years
Q: What was the turning point in getting Ulta to finally say yes and commit to 700 doors, not just a test run?
The turning point was demonstrating tangible change: we updated the brand's look within 48 hours, presented a data-backed plan showing momentum, and built a compelling case around improved packaging, price positioning, and clear selling points. The pivotal moment was a follow-up, including a sizzle reel from a tulip-season event that put Ulta face-to-face with how the brand performs in real life, prompting a written confirmation for expanded distribution.
How to turn a no from Ulta into a yes, even if it takes 7 years
Q: Take us back in time a little bit and tell us about the journey to Ulta, including early rejections and whether you started retail efforts right away.
The journey stretched over seven years, marked by persistent pitching, brand evolution, and a decisive brand renovation when feedback indicated the look felt old-fashioned. We began with strong relationships from past roles, but it took rebuilding the brand with refreshed packaging, a more modern aesthetic, and faster, market-week-ready materials. The breakthrough came after adjusting the assortment, updating the visuals, and coordinating a high-impact in-store and influencer-led event that captured Ulta's attention.
