This podcast, especially the series about Claudine Gay, has been written extremely poorly. It is apparent from the very first episode of that series, that it is not real journalism. The narrator is extremely biased, and evidently sides with only one view of the whole Israel Palestine situation, accusing Palestine supporters of dehumanising Jews while completely ignoring what Israeli supporters have done. I thought the podcast was mainly about Claudine Gay, but no, it turns out that a part of it ... more
It was quickly apparent the host was clueless about baseball and the Red Sox. Such an epic season, reduced to vapid blather. There are so many possible leads for this that would bring real baseball insight. I mean, I’m sure she tried hard, but it was constant distraction with misplaced words, stats, and story-telling.
Dave Roberts was not an infielder!?! How in the world can the Boston Globe produce a Red Sox podcast about 2004 with an error like that. Please publish a correction before Episode 3 drops.
This podcast went a little deeper than most retrospectives. As the subject said, “No one wants to hear how the little black girl succeeded.” I appreciated the effort of the interviewer to look at different aspects of what has happened since.
I’d look forward to more like this, but it’s my understanding funding for this podcast has been cut. Shame.
