  • Unfortunate Decision

After almost 15 years, I will no longer be listening to these shows. The creator and his friends have allowed themselves to become ideologues representing the leftist, socialist cult that seeks to control the world through intimidation, propaganda and power. What used to be a break from the nonsense of the political world is now just a litany of progressive rhetoric being bandied about as if it were an original thought. It makes me sad to see something that was great become tainted with the viru... more

  • Too good to not listen

I’ve been a long time listener of all of the shows that Scott hosts and is a guest on. I can’t get enough of his humor and will be a fan for as long as he continues his podcasting.

  • Long time fan farewell

I have been a fan for a long time. The first episode I listened to was just after ELR ended. However Scott pre Trump and post Trump is just a sad shell of a person I knew. I am in the middle and Scott preaches about his left wing beliefs every chance he gets. If Scott is unable to manipulate the conversation in to taking a jab at a conservative position then he finds a way to sneak in an insult regardless of the stretch. I feel bad for him, at this point as this has to be hurting the network fin... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

TMS 3008: Dashboard Confessions
Q: What are your recommendations for dumb phones for kids or seniors?
Tom Merritt discusses various parental-control friendly options like Gab and Bark devices, emphasizes limited app ecosystems, and suggests pairing with watches for safe, non-smartphone communication, with parental controls retained.
TMS 3004: Parmigone
Q: Can you break down what OpenClaw actually is and why is everyone calling it the future of computing?
OpenClaw is an open-source autonomous agent you control that can run locally or on a private server, capable of performing tasks like sending emails or scheduling meetings. The key points are user control, privacy, and the ability to run on your own hardware rather than depending entirely on cloud services, though it can integrate with cloud AI services if desired.
TMS 2998: Sephora for Men
Q: What are some things we can do to regain stability in a world that changes quickly?
Wendi suggests focusing on grounding routines, reducing doomscrolling by curating positive content, engaging in small, controllable activities (like touching water or gardening), and building a predictable daily structure while processing the associated emotions with acceptance and pacing.
TMS 2997: Captain Pedantic
Q: Can you help me understand Apple's CEO changeover and how the selection process works?
The board and the current leadership collaborate to select a successor, with the incumbent often having influence; the process is gradual, involving succession planning, public signaling, and a formal handoff, culminating in a chosen candidate who demonstrates decisive leadership and organizational fit.
TMS 2993: Injectable Meat
Q: Why do you think Moore's Law is no longer happening in the literal sense?
Because transistor scaling on a single die is hitting physical limits, but progress continues through architectural innovations, chiplets, and 3D stacking that boost performance even without doubling transistors on the same silicon.
