I'm a former American expat in Rome, talking about the beautiful, messy, delicious, chaotic life in the Caput Mundi. I explore many areas of Italian culture and point out the things that a foreigner in Italy might find peculiar. Often, however, I discover that... what I first considered peculiar, usually made sense after some time.

Should never on a travel podcast talk about destinations for people that have sex with certain people. In that case mention which podcasts are for straight people. Sad and unprofessional.
Enjoy listening to all the episodes here. I like the infusion of funny anecdotes that are very real 😊
I love the dynamic between him and his guest, it's highly entertaining, and I always learn something. As an Italian-American, I love learning about Italy and getting an inside perceptive is so much fun! Highly recommended!
Could be a very nice podcast if the soundquality was better. Interviewer and interviewee seem to have completely different microphones and/or recording techniques. One is very sharp (high) and the other as if he were under water. Even the volumes aren't in sync. If this item is solved I'll re-subscribe.
This is a wonderful and informative resource as well as a really well done podcast. I'm now following Rick on Twitter and Facebook as well. Excellent material and it provides great insight into life in Italy. Well worth having this podcast. I'm glad I found it.
