Thank you so much Michael and Tom for this wonderful, witty and ridiculously entertaining podcast. I have been a sequel nerd my whole life and this podcast series is truly heaven sent. Michael and Tom, you are great hosts, and I love tuning in each episode to see whether you will agree or disagree. You have inspired me to do recent rewatches of the Superman, Terminator and Planet of the Apes franchises, and I’m about to do a holiday binge of Star Trek movies 2-7 and listen along to your reviews.... more
Nice job Tom and Mike! Had a chance to catch Indian Jones and the Last Crusade. Loved the casual discussion format and depth. -Tim K.
Love for 2010 has brought me to this podcast, because the film has its admirers but only social media and podcasting has brought me to them. I have a lot of the same feelings expressed, and I’ve had them since I saw the film a very long time ago!
Only recently found you both and I love it! I mainly listen when I go to the gym or going for a walk. Got a suggestion could you do all the Jurassic Park films. Me and my husband has had great debates about them. Would love to hear your views on the movie. Much love from Jenny xx

A lively, meta-minded conversation focused on sequels and franchise cinema, hosted by two film-loving analysts who banter with enthusiasm and deep knowledge. Episodes blend long-form pitches, critical breakdowns, and affectionate nostalgia across a wide array of sequel-heavy franchises, from action to horror to cult favorites. The format often includes playful concept pitches, retrospective deep-dives, and candid discussions about casting, marketing, and franchise longevity, all delivered with humor and self-awareness. Noteworthy is the show's penchant for “what-if” brainstorming and culture-wide references, which keeps discussions brisk, entertaining, and highly playlistable for fans of ambitious, fan-driven cinema analysis.
