It's been a long time coming, but Chicago is the first movie musical to win Best Picture since 1968's Oliver! Both of us love this movie so tune in to hear us fawn over the great cast and excellent musical numbers.
The second Best Picture winner in a row to star Russell Crowe! Ron Howard is finally triumphant with his movie, A Beautiful Mind. We both agree that the Best Picture lineup for this year is outstanding so tune in and hear us give all five of them som... more
I’ve listened to several episodes of every movie-themed podcast I could find. This is the best. These guys are smart, witty, not too tangential, well-researched, and beautifully passionate about film. They are articulate in their opinions and quick to recognize quality in a film, even when they don’t like it.
Great Hollywood, Oscar & movie history.
I had a film quest several years ago to watch every film that had won Best Picture and I did. Listening to this podcast, I’m struck with how much I agree with their opinions on who won and who was snubbed. Glad you’re back and I look forward your new season.
Sam and Rance are not just an entertaining duo but are true movie enthusiasts! Their depth of knowledge on Oscar history and film history is fascinating!!! I've been hooked since Day 1 and am always excited for a new episode to drop!
Great Podcast! Great info! Great Hosts! Highly recommend this here right here!!!
This was a pleasant, recent discovery. Started with the first episode and ended up listening three almost in a row. Loved the chemistry between the hosts, the many details and small trivia they shared, and the fact that they kept it brief and concise. Will listen more!
