  • Great medical podcast for everyone

I worked with Dr. Kumar during his residency training at Mayo, he was great, kind and caring to everyone. He sticks out as one of the best! He does a great job explaining conditions on his podcast.

  • A gem!

So glad I found this podcast. Dr. Kumar doesn’t want you to just mask symptoms, he wants you to understand root causes and help you truly heal. He also isn’t peddling one size fits all bio hacks like some wellness influencers out there. He is the best of both worlds - he shares a wealth of modern medical knowledge, but also empowers the listeners to take personal responsibility for their health.

  • Logical, intelligent easy to follow

Just listened for the 1st time on GERD (heartburn), was a pop up on Pinterest, what a great podcast.

I read recently that people on PPI’s (I’m on pantoprazole 40 mg) are 25% more likely to have a heart attack!

Dr Kumar explains the PPI tablet effect so well, and gives you ideas what to try and how to set a 4 month plan to come off them.

I have written mine and I’m going to try, I’m 56 and I want the best chance of living well and healthy for me and my girls.

    Thank you Dr Kumar

The Prediabetes Warning Sign Your Doctor Isn't Testing For | Dr. Keith Berkowitz
Q: What do you do when you find patients with this reactive hypoglycemia?
The approach starts with assessing comorbidities, digestion, sleep, lifestyle, and medications, then using tools like continuous glucose monitoring to tailor meals and timing; AI-driven platforms are leveraged to provide real-time feedback and empower patients to engage with clinicians.
The Prediabetes Warning Sign Your Doctor Isn't Testing For | Dr. Keith Berkowitz
Q: What is reactive hypoglycemia, and why is it pertinent to an extraordinarily large amount of people in the world?
Reactive hypoglycemia is a post-meal or stress-induced overproduction of insulin causing a drop in blood glucose, which can lead to symptoms like fatigue, dizziness, and brain fog; it may be an early, prediabetic signal and is more common than often acknowledged, especially when insulin resistance develops before glucose markers become abnormal.
The Prediabetes Warning Sign Your Doctor Isn't Testing For | Dr. Keith Berkowitz
Q: Tell us first off how you got involved with Dr. Atkins back in the 1990s, and what that was like.
Dr. Berkowitz describes meeting Atkins in the late 1990s, being drawn to a more integrative, metabolically focused approach, and eventually joining his team after seeing successes with patients who traditional medicine had labelled as outliers, which catalyzed a shift toward a holistic, lifestyle-based model.
The 4 Pillars of Longevity & Healthspan: Eat, Move, Sleep, Connect | Dr. Matt Kaeberlein
Q: What is the status of rapamycin as a longevity therapy in humans?
Rapamycin shows robust lifespan extension effects in multiple animal models and some positive immune and healthspan signals in humans, but comprehensive human aging data are lacking. Dosing, timing, tissue-specific effects, and safety considerations require careful, individualized risk-benefit analyses under medical supervision; large randomized trials are needed to confirm broad aging benefits.
The 4 Pillars of Longevity & Healthspan: Eat, Move, Sleep, Connect | Dr. Matt Kaeberlein
Q: What is your stance on NAD boosters, NR/NMN, and similar supplements for aging?
NAD boosters are a questionable category with mixed evidence. There is no consensus that NAD levels universally decline with age, and the strongest longevity data for these supplements are not robust. Scientific caution is advised; more rigorous, replicated human data are needed before endorsing widespread use.
