  • Absolutely hilarious!!!

So glad I was introduced to this podcast, you guys are absolutely hilarious. I’ve been cackling my way across Europe like an idiot. The best decision I made (after booking my flights) was downloading your uncut episodes before I left. Honestly, 10/10 recommend for long walks, train rides, or pretending not to eavesdrop on strangers in cafés. You’re now officially part of my travel memories.

Q: How did you evolve from those early gigs to becoming a staple on radio and TV, and what's your writing process like now?
Early on I wrote from personal pain and embarrassment, then gradually learned to observe everyday moments and turn them into quick, punchy bits; now I write when something triggers a thought, often from real life, and refine it for stage, radio, or TV.

The new show leans on adrenaline, life experiences from footy, injuries, and the everyday humdrum of modern life, turning embarrassing moments into relatable, funny bits; it's about finding material in what's happened and making it work for the stage.
#295 - Dyson Heppell - Chaos, Charisma & Leading Through Footy's Darkest Saga

#291 - Pete Hooley - The Pressure of Pro Sport, Buzzer Beaters & the Decision to Walk Away
Q: How have you gone with now being the one that's doing the punditry?
It has been a smooth transition because of the approach I've taken, emphasizing the human side of players while staying fact-based.
