The content and analysis are consistently brilliant and honest. Unfortunately, listening to the show is a true endurance test. Matt sounds like he’s recording in a tin can from across the room and the mismatched levels are inexcusable. At this point in podcasting, there's simply no excuse for this level of audio neglect. Amateurs with a $50 USB mic and a blanket fort can produce a better-sounding show; it's genuinely not hard to get the basics right.
Ed, stop yelling. Stretch, enough of the “ at the end of day”. Might as well say “ you know” And Z, you’re doing a poor job balancing the audio.
I LOVE this show! As a lifelong (and long suffering) Cowboys fan I look forward to every episode. Matt and Ed nail it with their mix of humor, analysis and sarcasm. My only complaint… the audio levels! They seem to vary between the guys each episode and this week was the most severe in a long time. I had to keep turning it up for Matt only to get blasted out by Ed. Still, this is my favorite Cowboys podcast and I’ll be listening each week win or lose!

One is too loud and the other is way too low.

The show delivers in-depth weekly analysis of the Dallas Cowboys, balancing on-field performance with executive decisions, coaching changes, and roster moves. Episodes often hinge on key figures—owner Jerry Jones, the coaching staff, and the defensive unit—while layering in game-by-game breakdowns, future-facing roster and strategy discussions, and occasional fantasy-oriented picks for listener engagement. A recurring thread is the tension between audacious frontline ambition and the practical need for better coaching and defense, punctuated by strong personalities and candid critiques. Noteworthy dynamics include the hosts' long-tenured industry experience, willingness to challenge team management, and a penchant for timely, data-informed ... more
