  • Independent journalism is the only way to save our democracy

Don Lemon has been a respected journalist for years, himself and others like Scott McFarlane, experienced DC professionals like Liz Oyer (former pardon attorney for the WH), Malcolm Nance (Blackman Spy, former CIA ), and young investigators like the Drey Dossier are the IRL news sources in combination w/ groundnews.com website.

Corporate news is propaganda. & Local news is tainted by the Sinclair.

I Reccomended following Don Lemon and these others on Substack as well.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Donald Trump's Approval Ratings Hit A New Low!
Q: Charlie Cotton from TMZ DC, you changed the Department of Defense to the Department of War. Would you consider changing the name again to the Department of Peace, since that's what we're all after?
The discussion centers on the rationale of peace-through-strength framing and the practical implications of renaming military bodies; the response emphasizes the ethos of the department and the broader goal of national security rather than a ceremonial label change.
White House Correspondents’ Dinner Shooting: Who's Fault Is This?!
Q: Do you think it was appropriate to read the manifesto verbatim on air to discuss the suspect's motives?
Yes, the hosts argued that quoting the manifesto is essential journalistic practice to accurately convey what was stated and to inform the audience about the motive, while acknowledging the risk of sensationalizing a tragic event.
White House Dinner Shooting Fallout & Trump's New Attacks on Jimmy Kimmel
Q: What happened at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, and how did security fail to protect attendees?
The guests describe hearing gunfire and the immediate scramble by Secret Service; there were gaps in screening and movement within the venue, and officials struggled to communicate a coherent plan, highlighting security vulnerabilities in a crowded political event.
Keith Edwards Responds to Jasmine Crockett Backlash
Q: Why attend or engage with events involving figures or institutions that have criticized or targeted journalists?
The guest expresses a pragmatic view that participation can be important for reporting, while simultaneously critiquing the celebratory nature of such events when they feel hostile to journalism.
Keith Edwards Responds to Jasmine Crockett Backlash
Q: How does it feel to be at the White House Correspondents Weekend as someone who isn't a traditional journalist?
Edwards explains that he feels welcomed by the event's organizers but maintains a distinction between being a journalist and a political commentator, emphasizing his role as a creator who reports and analyzes from a different angle.
