If you want to meet the real characters behind the scenes that inspired the edgy series, this is the podcast. Like the series, each interview has a nice reveal, and something unexpected in store. The interviewer has a good background and knows how to draw her guests out in an enticing manner. Loved that series and the interviews are a great way to savor it again while we await the next installment.
As a huge fan of The Diplomat TV series, I was left wanting more after finishing the first season. This podcast is the perfect companion to the show and fills the void while we wait for a new season.
The Diplomat on Netflix is great show! Unfortunately this podcast focused on the most boring aspects of the making of the show and the least interesting opinions of the foreign service professionals that were interviewed. “How do you feel about your character” is a mediocre question, and asking it over and over again turned it into filler.
