  • The Dialog Tree has a series of interviews with game makers that explore some of the challenges and small victories that come with game creation. Often times we see the end result of a game but have no idea what went into it's creation and this podcast is a nice window into that world as well as a good way to discover interesting new games.

GameHead Games Interview: A Smorgasbord of Affordable and Fun Games | The Gamerheads Podcast
Q: How do you decide which games to publish then?
The process centers on a tight fruit-forward pitch: five-minute setup, five-minute teach, 20-40 minutes of gameplay, and a target price of $20 in a six-by-six box; if a designer can also supply a concise pitch video and clear hooks, GameHead will consider the title, prioritizing strong thematic implementation and high-quality art while avoiding overly text-heavy rules.
Crafting Barty’s Adventure: Parenthood, Creativity, and Discovery | The Gamerheads Podcast
Q: What have you learned about yourself during this development journey?
I've learned I'm stubborn and highly motivated, capable of sustaining focus and effort across years while balancing life changes, which has shaped how I approach making a game and managing time.
Crafting Barty’s Adventure: Parenthood, Creativity, and Discovery | The Gamerheads Podcast
Q: How far along do you feel like you are, and are you considering an early access strategy?
I'm deep into production and targeting a later half release this year; I'm not leaning toward Early Access because I want to ensure the game is finished and polished before public testing expands, even though feedback would be valuable.
What Could Nintendo Deliver in 2026? A Look Ahead with Special Guest Brian Shea | The Gamerheads Podcast
Q: Which Nintendo franchise needs a new release in 2026?
Brian predicts a strong push for Mario in a 3D iteration, with Zelda potentially getting a remake or Zelda maker-style project, and mentions the possibility of collaboration-inspired titles like Mario plus Rabbids continuing to expand on the platform's genre-blending approach.
What Could Nintendo Deliver in 2026? A Look Ahead with Special Guest Brian Shea | The Gamerheads Podcast
Q: Of the games that we know so far, what are you most excited about that's coming out this year?
Brian highlights Pokopia, Animal Crossing, Dragon Quest Builders-inspired design, and Mario Tennis Fever as top contenders, expressing optimism for a mix of single-player depth and evolving gimmicks, while noting the potential for a strong lineup around Nintendo Direct announcements.
