  • Soulless

This episode on Mark Fisher was AI-generated—I listened to it, but it was basically just background noise made up of well-built sentences with no point of view. Ironically, a performance of capitalism.

  • AI-generated, but not terrible

It’s apparent that the “essays” are written by ChatGPT, as it contains so many of its conversational quirks (sentence length, heavy use of appositives, etc.). The occasional introduction of “um” is a nice attempt to humanize the digital narrator. That being said, it’s not bad. It’s just like having an interesting article narrated to you by AI. I think what is worth thinking about is that we could all do this ourselves — explore a topic on DeepSeek or build a GPT that’s trained on post-modern ph... more

  • Pretentious

Somewhere in there is some useful content, but you’ll have to dig through multiple layers of pretentious prose to find it. I extracted more value from a quick ChatGPT request to explain the concept.

  • Deeper thinking - Yours for free!

This is what it’s all about. You’re getting top notch, educated to an inch of their life thinking — for free.

Not exactly free, but if you own the gear that you need to listen to this, then you need to listen to this.

The show is meticulously researched, weaving phenomenology, ethics, critical theory, and feminist thought. Whoever is writing this isn’t working from crib sheets they’ve full assimilated this stuff.
