In a world plagued by the undead, the stories of survivors are well-known and heralded as examples of hope, strength, and perseverance. Over time, they become fables, legends passed down from survivor to survivor. But those are the stories of the few, not the many who continue to walk the earth as shells of their former selves. These are their stories. These are the stories of THE DEAD.

Weak writing. Poor sounds design makes listening tedious. Some of the voice acting is really bad - especially on the space station arc. The host (??) talking at the beginning and announcing commercials really takes me out of the story. There's minimal focus on it being a George Romero related project - extremely disappointing. Doing a zombie show & slapping Romero's name on it with no reference to the causes he found important, or the universe he created, is lazy. A slap in the face to fans.
Tediously predictable and terribly slow paced. Rooting for the zombies to win. If you must listen in the hopes of it getting better, I recommend listening on 2x speed to avoid throwing yourself in to traffic to end the suffering.
Loving it so far. Rebirth is brilliant. Really strong writing and characters I can’t wait to learn more about.
You can mention Romero over and over and over but it doesn’t make up for some of the worst writing on a fiction podcast I’ve ever heard. So incredibly predictable, so slow to progress and so much unrealistic behavior just to make the story sort of move along. Oh yes, we’re on a plane in a storm with a zombie and now is the time to have a coming out of the closet dialogue that has nothing to do with the story (pander much?). Solid voice actors and sound production but all that matters not when th... more
